Profile

Over the initial stages of the past century a printing association was established which had its own finger marks on the Lebanese printing community. It is one of the leading associations in terms of prestige and quality. This effort was reached when the grandparents picked up the right track and the grandchildren followed the same path.

It all started in 1912 when Hajj Omar Mneimneh established a press named “National Press” which was located firstly in Marce-lias Street, Downtown, Beirut. It began printing for major news-papers around the country which are still found today such as “Al Nahar”, “Al Hayat”, and “Al Hadaf”, “Al Huda”, “Al Yawm”, and “Al Sahafa Fi Al Taeh”, And in 1934 Hajj Omar signed a contract with the great journalist Mr. Jobran Toueni that stated to print the “Al Nahar” newspaper. After that in 1936 the press moved to “Ayyas” market to print the first edition of “Al Hayat” newspaper when it was holding the biggest double sided printing machine designed for such uses.

In 1951 the age of the new generation printing started when Issam Omar Mneimneh joined his father in a journey to develop the press and in a new base located in Bashoura. The press was equipped with the first printing machined operating automatically,  known as Heidelberg.

And in the year of 1965 Issam started a new stage in sorting and printing books using the Intertib and Monotib, in addition to the colored and commercial prints.

After the development that occurred in the father’s age, it is now the grandchildren’s turn to join the track the grandparent started. And so, they started working next to their father on the Offset Machines.

And in 1998 a great leap occurred in the press where it was equipped with the newest and advanced machines and computers for designing, sorting, and covering books and magazines, including various kinds of commercial, colorful perfect prints as the publishing companies in Beirut and the Arab World where provided with its important achievements as well as prestigious hotels and companies. It is a long and struggling story that started with the grandparents and is being continued by the grand children.
